Patricia Bessey Founder & Operations Director, Architecture & Interior Design
With over 25 years’ professional experience from the Commercial Architecture and Interior Design world, Patricia’s primary role is to manage and monitor projects with a focus on project Delivery. Her key involvement is to ensure through the implementation of correct procedures and management systems, the elimination of contractual issues and conflict wherever possible.
As a highly motivated, level-headed individual, Patricia has developed strong analytical, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to analyse unstructured problems in a dynamic environment. An independent-minded team player with a wide range of professional experience who thrives when engaged with people. Considers professionalism and commitment to client service as essential for success.
Patricia is a keen rower and is still able to terrify the opposition on a netball court! She has held the post of Master of the Worshipful Company of Constructors Livery company in the City of London, is a Chartered Architect and Council Member of Queen Mary UCL.
Richard Newton Founder & Director
Richard has many years of commercial property experience having worked with both investors and developers from large institutions to private and public property companies. Across his career, Richard has worked for a number of international property consultancies. He has an in-depth understanding of property risk and works closely with both the architects and designers in developing a greater understanding of occupier and investor requirements.
A long-suffering Liverpool FC fan, Richard is regularly able to vent his frustration on a variety of different rivers and lakes, as he an accomplished double sculler.
David Craig Architect
David is passionate about architecture and has a wealth of design and practical experience gained over many years working on projects in the commercial, leisure, industrial, education and housing sectors.
David is a very keen sailor and races in small keelboats at both club and national level. His greatest sailing achievement to date is winning the Bronze Fleet Trophy at the National Squib Inland Championships in 2013.
Emily White Interior Designer
Emily is an inspired designer with a deep interest and passion for all sectors of the industry having graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture. Emily is responsible for all aspects of exterior and interior design projects from concept to completion and maintains a professional approach in both person and practice.
When not knee-deep in samples and sketches, Emily takes to the stage in amateur musical productions. In fact, the office provides a regular rehearsal space for Emily…much to EngineRoom’s amusement.
Silvio Cimenti Creative Director & Brand Consultant
Silvio brings vast experience in the creative field spanning three continents working on brand strategies, brand positioning, identity programmes and advertising campaigns for major global clients including Hilton Worldwide, Conrad Hotels, DoubleTree, Swissôtel, Pilas Hong Kong, the Italian Institute of Culture Melbourne and Inkmaker worldwide.
Passionate about brands and the way they connect with people, Silvio was previously an executive director and partner at Octagon Creative Group. Under his tenure the group received global recognition through several coveted accolades including 2 Golds at the Travel and Creative industries awards in Singapore sponsored by National Geographic.
Silvio was trained in design and advertising and holds an honours degree from the University of the Arts London, London College of Communication and has participated in judging panels for design and advertising faculties within the industry.
Jenine Bunko Assistant Architect
Jenine is EngineRoom’s most recent addition and brings a wealth of experience to the practice. Jenine works across all project stages, ranging from feasibility to design.
When not emerged in the world of Architecture, Jenine loves the outdoors, either discovering new places on foot or running to keep fit. Beyond this, her love of music takes her to obscure venues as she seeks out new, random bands.
John Adam Architectural Technician
John has 40 years’ experience in creating drawings from which to build things: from schools and hospitals to oil rigs and diving gear. With a degree in Theoretical Physics John is comfortable with the technical side including software writing. His passions centre on music and the arts but will also sneak in the occasional triathlon.
